Many countries from around the world celebrate Christmas or some form of it. This can be a unique party theme that isn’t done very often. You can set up stations from different countries with their own unique holiday decorations along with canapés and drinks that are typical for those countries. This theme can be just as much educational as it is fun.

Holiday Masquerade
Typical festive colours are red and green, but Masquerades are typically decorated with lots of purple and gold to create a dramatic and lavish atmosphere for your guests. For a theme like this it is very important to spread the word as soon as possible so your guests can have enough time to find their perfect mask.

Nightmare Before Christmas
A popular movie classic by director Tim Burton, the Nightmare Before Christmas is a fun theme that will give your guests a different kind of experience. Try to find a venue with gothic design and architecture as this will really add to the experience. Use black and ivory colors along with candelabras as extra decoration.

Christmas Circus
This theme is centered around the nutcracker as the ringmaster of the circus. For this theme you can have fun entertainment options like aerialists, acrobats, clowns, jugglers and you can even have a small fun fair set up with games and prizes.

12 Courses of Christmas
A 12 courses of Christmas party is essentially a food and drink tasting social. For this theme, you can work with your caterer to construct a custom menu with 12 different food and drink items that are holiday themed. Since the main source of entertainment will be enjoying the food and drinks, you can play easy holiday music in the background rather than hiring a DJ.

Reindeer Games
Like the Christmas circus, this theme is centred around games and prizes. Decorate your space around the idea of Santa’s sleigh and reindeer. Don’t forget Rudolph! Rather than having a seated meal, a buffet style reception can be done for this type of event.

We Three Kings
This theme will take your guests worlds away. Decorate the venue space in gold, sapphire, amethyst and anything metallic. The idea for this theme is to create an exotic and royal ambiance inspired from the story of the three kings. You can complete this theme with a grand feast.

Christmas in Vegas
This is a theme with a cause. Your guests can play with cards and dice throughout the night and at the end, portions of proceeds can be donated to any charity of your choice. Work with your caterer to create Vegas-worthy cocktails for your guests to enjoy.

Great Gatsby Christmas
This theme is full of glitz and glamour. Decorate your venue space in gold and glitter 1920’s style and encourage your guests to dress appropriately. A photo booth would be highly recommended for an event like this and you can even create a bar area that is reminiscent of a speak easy.

Tinsel & ‘Tinis
This is an easy theme to prepare for as you can decorate your venue space in the traditional Christmas colours of green and red with lots and lots of tinsel. Work with your caterer to create a custom menu of Christmas inspired martinis for your guests to sip on throughout the night.
