Mask, Create and Fullcircle joined forces for a festival of colour at the Victoria & Albert Museum in July, showcasing the full might of the Concerto Group for drinks giant Diageo.
The collaborative event was inspired by the Holi Festival of Colour, an ancient Hindu religious festival celebrated in South Asia.
Theming and creative direction were led by Mask and Fullcircle, whilst Create covered the evening’s innovative menu. The end result was a kaleidoscope of blinding colour, tastes and sounds designed to represent each and every one of Diageo’s brands - and a truly individual bespoke event.
The wow factor began early on, with guests being greeted by stilt walkers dressed as birds of paradise at the entrance of this prestigious South Kensington venue.
As guests entered the dramatic reception space they were met with an array of striking colours, setting the scene for the night ahead. Design features were bright and bold, complemented by striking oral displays and imaginative focal points.
A variety of concepts were tailored to both the spaces of the Victoria & Albert Museum and Diageo’s branding, keeping guests guessing as they explored the museum’s famous galleries. Continuity came in the form of Mask’s innovative theming, which cloaked each space in bright, rainbow hues.
A bespoke sky of birds created a dramatic corridor to the courtyard. Here guests found that the gardens too had been transformed into an unforgettable festival and party space. Exotic plants, bright canopies and luxurious furnishings created a party paradise in the heart of Kensington, complete with entertainment from a truly dazzling dance act.
Create’s menu centered on bold, fresh tastes and was served in true Holi Festival style - on striking, bright tableware. As the main course ended guests were invited to visit the ‘Sugar Factory’, where all their childhood favourites awaited. And yes, skittles were included.
