UK charity Street Child has been creating educational opportunities for some of the most vulnerable children in West Africa since 2008. Last year the charity came to us looking for a space to host its annual summer fundraising event, the Summer Ball.
Iconic London venue the Pavilion at the Tower of London was chosen as the setting for the prestigious occasion. The venue easily accommodated the charity’s 300 guests, and offered room for the guest list to grow if required.
The event was compered by Street Child patron, the Apprentice's Nick Hewer, and raised in excess of £80,000, which was doubled by the government through Street Child’s appeal. Guests were entertained with an exclusive performance by Sarah Harding, with the event featured in the Daily Mail.
Elen Thorne, Street Child Charity Co-ordinator said: “The event for 350 of our supporters was a great success, raising Street Child £80,000 through an auction and various other fundraising avenues. Right from the beginning of the process, Harriet, Jo and the team at Concerto were extremely helpful and provided us with a fully comprehensive and professional service. We were completely at ease that everything was being taken care of before and during the event, and were proved right as the night went without a hitch. We have since booked to hold our next big Benefit Ball with Concerto at The Artillery Garden at The HAC in November this year.”
The Summer Ball proved an overwhelming success, so less than five months later Street Child returned to us. This time the charity was planning a winter Ebola Benefit Ball.
Despite quick turnaround times and a complex event brief, on Saturday 29th November the full might of the Concerto Group came together, and Street Child hosted a carnival extravaganza in The Artillery Garden at The HAC, in the heart of the City of London.
The Ebola Benfit Ball featured catering from Create Food and Party Design and production by Fullcircle, all seamlessly managed through one point of contact – Street Child’s charity account manager. A sparkling drinks reception was served from 6.30pm, followed by a three-course dinner, complimentary drinks, jazz band and an auction of exclusive items.
