Our Charity for 2016: Ataxia UK
Every year we support a charity chosen by our team, embarking on a series of challenges throughout the year to raise much-needed funds for a cause that's important to us. This year, the Concerto Group’s chosen charity is Ataxia UK.
Ataxia UK is the leading national charity for people with ataxia, their families and carers. The charity provides support and aim to find treatments and cures.
In order to raise vital funds for Ataxia UK, we’re taking part in two big challenges this September, the Big Bad Bike Ride and the Thames Path Challenge.
The Big Bad Bike Ride:
Team Concerto are taking on this 100km circular road cycling route on Saturday 10th September 2016. The event takes place in the Yorkshire Dales. We have six Yorkshire warriors signed up!
The Thames Path Challenge:
This is a festival of challenges by the River Thames in September. Our team will walk, jog or run the varying distances of 100km, 50km or 25km.
The City Bridges Challenge:
Team Concerto are supporting this year's City Bridges Challenge. The walk will start at Old Paradise Garden near Lambeth Bridge. After the walk, which sees participants conquer either a 3.6 or 6.3 mile route, attendees will enjoy a reception at our South Bank venue OXO2 to finish off the day.
