Farewell to Christmas at the Geffrye Museum, Friday 6th January
This traditional celebration is the perfect way to say goodbye to the festive fun as you welcome a new year at the Geffrye Museum. There'll be carol singing, mulled wine, stories about Epiphany and Twelfth Night cake as well as the ritualistic burning of the holly and the ivy.
London Art Fair, from 18 January 2017 to 22 January 2017
Browse and buy contemporary British art at the London Art Fair, with work on display from more than 100 galleries. The fair takes place at the Business Design Centre.
Hackney Flea Market, Saturday January 7 2017 - Sunday January 8 2017
Abney Hall in Stoke Newington will host this fantastic flea market, with over 30 traders, offering an eclectic selection of vintage clothes and furniture, handmade jewellery, comics, records and antiques.
Hogwarts in the Snow
Potterheads will love the latest attractions from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – the Making of Harry Potter. Winter exhibits will be on show until the end of January and include glittering Christmas trees, a replica festive feast, Christmas in the Gryffindor common room and blankets of snow on the famous castle.
Ice Skating, Various Locations
Many of the capital’s ice rinks are only open for a few more days, so if you’re hoping to try your hand at skating be quick! We recommend Somerset House for a stunning wintry backdrop.
London Boat Show at Excel, From 6 January 2017 to 15 January 2017
London’s biggest annual boat show brings together experts, traders and celebrities from the world of boating and watersports to showcase the latest nautical trends and upcoming developments.
Burns Night, Various Locations
Many of London’s bars and restaurants will be serving special dinners and hosting events around the 25th January, the mark the anniversary of the Scottish poet and lyricist, Robert Burns.
