In a city as diverse and globalised as London, it's hard to overestimate to shier scale of events taking place in just one day, let alone an entire month!
Here are some of the top events taking place in London this November!
The London Triathlon, November 6th and 7th
Welcoming 13,000 entrants, the London Triathlon at the Docklands is one of the biggest athletic events of the year. Although immensely challenging, with a gruelling course of running, swimming and cycling, it caters to people of all levels of ability, from amateurs to professional athletes, and aims to raise £1 million for charity.
Cucina Rustica, throughout November
Head to Kentish Town and experience mouthwatering Italian cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. In fact, the chef, Sicilian-born Giorgio Fabian Honey, only uses vegetables, meat, pasta, bread and herbs originating from the three postcodes nearest to Kentish Town! Here, until the end of November, you can tuck into irresistible artichoke ravioli, nutella-filled gnocchi, tender calamari and other southern-Italian specialities.
The Regent Street Motor Show, November 5th
When you think of Regent Street, you might imagine long traffic jams and endless rows of buses and taxis. Well, on November 5th, all that disappears as the whole of the street is transformed into a huge car exhibition, with 300 vehicles on display, all dating from the 19th to the 21st century. A must-see for vintage-vehicle fans, it's free to attend and includes an exciting array of shows, competitions and demonstrations. It's the perfect place to spend your Saturday afternoon before the fireworks kick off.
La Soiree, Leicester Square
Starting on November 13th, La Soiree features award-winning cabaret with acrobatics, juggling and bubble acts, and runs until January 8th. This Olivier Award-winning group has already performed in five continents over the past 12 years and includes renowned acts such as Anglo-Spanish cabaret performer Ursula Martinez and bubble blower Denis Lock.
Don't forget Bonfire Night!
One of London's most iconic bonfire celebrations is the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival, which takes place on Friday November 4th and Saturday November 5th. The event, held above historic Alexandra Palace in the north-London neighbourhood of Muswell Hill, also features a German beer festival, delicious street food and a family funfair. With live entertainment and free entry for children under 10, it's guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family. Advanced tickets are just £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.
Don't worry if you can't make it on November 5th, because a week later is the spectacular Lord Mayor's Show, which includes a huge parade and more fireworks.
