Clarke Energy chose The Venue at the Royal Liver Building as the setting for its recent dinner, held to celebrate 1GW of power for the company.
160 guests attended the black tie event, which began with drinks and canapés in the Bella Ballroom. Guests were then invited into the adjacent Bertie Suite for a three-course seated dinner, provided by The Venue’s caterer Dougherty & Allen.
The meal included a starter of Cheshire cheese twice-baked soufflé, honeycomb dressing and Wirral watercress, a mean of slow-cooked beef fillet, rolled in summer herbs, braised shin beef and wilted summer greens, or a pastry lattice of summer vegetables, sweet pepper puree and herb oil. Guests then enjoyed a trio of desserts: lemon, chocolate and berry.
Following dinner, guests enjoyed presentations and comedy from a stand-up comedian. The party then got underway with live music, casino tables and dancing long into the night.
