Our bespoke events specialist, Mask Events, was tasked with creating the world of Winnie the Pooh in celebration of the character’s 90th birthday.
Kensington Roof Gardens hosted the birthday celebrations for one of our favourite bears. Winnie the Pooh turned the ripe old age of 90 with a huge birthday celebration at the impressive rooftop venue. The event was attended by 200 guests, including members of the press and publishing industries.
Mask Events worked alongside our production partner Fullcircle to bring the ‘Four Seasons’ theme of the event to life. Guests entered the rooftop marquee through Winnie the Pooh’s famous ‘Mr Sanders’ doorway, journeying into the heart of Winnie the Pooh’s world. Along with each character’s home, we created Rabbit’s garden and brand new character Penguin’s winter scene. Owl could even be found hiding in a tree.
No rooftop birthday party would be complete without a picnic, so we created a tea party scene with seats for each character, where they could enjoy some delicious afternoon tea treats as they celebrated with Winnie the Pooh.
As well as much-loved Winnie the Pooh details from the past, we incorporated some of the character’s brand new hums and songs, using these to decorate the venue. And before we knew it, Winnie the Pooh’s world had been recreated before our very eyes.
The event proved a huge success with Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Christopher Robin and of course - our guests. Find out more about Mask at mask.co.uk.
