The Concerto Group is making a regional play with its latest acquisition - JD Parties Ltd.
JD Parties offer three fantastic venues; Tatton Park, Knowsley Safari Park and ICC Birmingham. The new acquisition will enable Concerto to manage events across the country, so guests based outside of London will now be able to benefit from the fantastic event services on offer at Concerto.
The move comes as part of a broader expansion strategy to take Concerto to a national level. From July Concerto will have an established presence in three of the UK’s strongest regional footholds; Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
JD Parties is well established in the regions, having managed Christmas events and bespoke parties at these three venues for over 20 years. Last year alone saw JD host parties for 30,000 guests.
Tatton Park, Knowsley Safari Park and ICC Birmingham all have a seated capacity of 1,200 guests.
The new venture is to be called JD Concerto, and will be managed by Concerto Group founding shareholder Guy Rodger and JD Managing Director Andrew Gentles.
New Concerto Group CEO, Teresa-Anne Dunleavy said “Both culturally and strategically, JD is a natural fit for us. They are well established in the regions with a strong customer base who return year after year, due largely to the quality of JD’s offering. Strategically, it allows Concerto to open up new opportunities beyond London which are central to our longer term growth strategy. We are very pleased with the alliance”.
